Toyota Unveils Third Generation Humanoid Robot T-HR3

Remote, safe, smooth operation of robot enabled through new, advanced Torque Servo Module and Master Maneuvering System

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) today revealed T-HR3, the company’s third generation humanoid robot. Toyota’s latest robotics platform, designed and developed by Toyota’s Partner Robot Division, will explore new technologies for safely managing physical interactions between robots and their surroundings, as well as a new remote maneuvering system that mirrors user movements to the robot.

Child Models Added to Toyota Crash Tests

Not all Crash Test Dummies are the Same

Toyota recently released three new models of it’s Total Human Model for Safety (THUMS), or better known as crash test dummy software. The THUMS software is what is used to judge and determine what happens to the human body after an accident. By adding 3 new models, ranging in sizes, this allows the car company to understand the safety of more age groups.
